Loss of sense of reality is a bad thing

A significant part of Armenian society, perhaps its majority, suffers from a loss of sense of reality since it might rarely happen to look at the map of Armenia or even if it does, it can't adequately evaluate:  perceiving what is seen requires mental effort. We may often hear from some people who have a problem with the perception of reality that they "prefer" Europe and see the future of Armenia there, both literally and metaphorically. The metaphorical meaning is that they want to see the dominance of "European values" in Armenia. It is hard to say what particularly they understand by saying such values but in any case, we are able to establish the values and relations we want in the country. In that matter, no one has hindered us. Therefore, the age-old "grudge" is unclear. If you want to pursue those values, do it! Who is holding you back?

Others literally want Armenia, a landlocked country, to become part of Europe, that is, to strive to join European structures - EU, NATO, etc. For such people, the current consequences of a similar desire by Europe-based Ukraine or the defeat of similar aspirations in our neighboring Georgia with access to the sea and even with territorial sacrifices, are unlikely to serve as lessons.

People do not understand many basic things. They just need to look carefully at the map to understand that there can be peace in the South Caucasus only if a balance of forces and interests is created among Iran, Russia, and Turkey. In this specific case, it is obvious that a fourth party has entered the region in the face of the EU observation mission, breaking the balance of power, and this implies an increase in the probability of war.

However, this is still the least of the evils. There is a threat of more dangerous development. If one of the three countries of the South Caucasus invites a fourth power to the zone, the big neighboring countries may view it as an enemy. In our case, they are Russia, Turkey and Iran, with resultant consequences. It is absolutely not important who the fourth party is at the given moment.

And why are the other three so sensitive to the 4th force? Since it has no vital interests here, the 4th force is simply trying to upset the balance, that is, to encourage a war. To put it more simply, the 4th force is just a "migrant worker" in our region to get temporary dividends. Those who preach such views are also implied as "migrant workers."

Georgia was once punished for it. Azerbaijan will be punished for it one day. Then why is Armenia making such an attempt, especially now, when the territorial security of Armenia is provided by the Iranian military units gathered near our borders, and not by the EU observers? That is why we state that loss of sense of reality is a bad thing.
