Looking forward to a new political system based on new ideas

The parliamentary elections have a simple goal: the political parties running for parliament present to the public their proposed guidelines on the development of the country, and the public cast vote, as a result of which the formed Government gets the right to govern or, as it is commonly said, legitimacy, and leads the country in the direction it has promised. And the proportion of the political parties that won seats in the parliament shows the proportion of the public’s opinion on the development guidelines.

This is the meaning and goal of the parliamentary elections, but life may propose more varieties, there are cases when a fatal decision has to be made, and the parliamentary elections turn into a public poll.

As we see, in any scenario, the political actors must present political platforms to the public, and the public must make its choice. If we approach the June 20 parliamentary elections from this point of view, we will see that no comprehensible political platform is presented to the public, in particular, on the fate of Artsakh, its security system, economic development, and the construction of communications of geopolitical significance. The list of issues can be continued, but that is not our purpose.

The slogans of the political forces participating in the elections are aimed at influencing the feelings of the people, the speeches are full of accusations made against each other and reminders of the mistakes made in the past, often just swearing, assaults, personal insults. Public opinion remains in the continuum of "black and white" and "revolutionary and counter-revolutionary". Mutual hatred between the parties and threats to take revenge on each other are spreading in the society, where interpersonal relations are disrupted.

This is the picture of the upcoming elections, and it is obvious that regardless of the election results, the mutual hatred in the society will not calm down, because the sections of the society that have turned into "black and white" are becoming incompatible. Intolerance and mutual hatred will be transferred to the future parliament, and during each sitting we will see its manifestations, the bad vibes of which will be discussed in the press, social networks and broadcast media, entering the streets, workplaces and families.

This is our probable future, which it seems will not be possible to avoid in the near future, and the only solution will be to move the real political life out of the parliament to create a new political system based on new ideas.
