Pashinyan has no other choice than to leave

It is accepted to consider that the post-war or recovery period is not only the logical continuation of the war, but also its final stage. Eliminating the consequences of war and recovering the economic civil and military industrial sectors might sometimes take long years. The comparison with the Great Patriotic War might not be so relevant, but, nevertheless, it is worth reminding that the period following World War II, known in history as the period of peaceful development and recovery, lasted two and a half to three decades.

By the same token, creative, hard work is required today after the 44-day Artsakh war, unless, of course, our authorities have not relinquished their noble commitment to Artsakh as a "heavy burden".
And for the Armenian twin states the war was marked by the number of tens of thousands of victims, missing, wounded people and prisoners of war, as well as the destruction of a large amount of military equipment, many buildings and infrastructures in Artsakh. After the November 10 ceasefire, Azerbaijan is obviously preparing for the next "round" of the war, which will target Syunik, the long-cherished dream of the Turkish-Azerbaijani tandem.

Aliyev's perverted appetite for a conspiratorial victory seems to have been whetted. In parallel with the second joint military exercise with Turkey under the "One Nation, Two States" formula, he is preparing for military exercises with his other "elder brother" Pakistan, as well as acquisition of new offensive weapons and construction of an international airport in the occupied territory of Artsakh, Hadrut region. Who does not know that a military base or, for example, a "breeding ground" for hired terrorists can be built under the name of the airport. In any case, the processes being carried out by Azerbaijan in the border areas of Armenia, particularly in Syunik, and in recent days in Tavush, are more like preparation of a state of war than a post-war reconstruction phase.

Azerbaijani servicemen and officials are entering our borders without hindrance. They dig trenches In Vorotan community of Syunik region and perform measurement in Tavush, according to some hearsay, and accumulate military equipment at the border and so on. Even after the victory, our opponent country does not reduce its propaganda of ethnic hatred, belligerent, anti-Armenian rhetoric, neither does it hide its aspirations of seizure of new territories from Armenia. In the 7th Congress of the ruling Yeni Azerbaijan party, Ilham Aliyev dedicated about 80 percent of his speech to, in his words, Zangezur. "Zangezur Corridor is a historic achievement… Now Armenia is trying to hinder the operation of the Zangezur Corridor, but it will not succeed. We will achieve all our goals just as we expelled them from our lands," Aliyev said, threatening and waving his finger. And he is not only threatening, but also acting.

And what countermeasures are Nikol Pashinyan and his team taking, due to whose inability Armenia finds itself on the verge of collapse? Exclusively nothing. Pashinyan has put all the resources of the country at the service of his security and the preservation of power, he does not see or hear anything else, including the dangerous reshaping of our borders by the enemy and the slanders of Ilham Aliyev. In order to stay in power, he is ready to open fire on the people, as evidenced, by the presence of snipers in the parliament building during the peaceful demonstration of the Homeland Salvation Movement on March 3, light and sound grenades placed in the NA yard and armed police groups. Pashinyan is not accepted either outside or inside. They have already begun to disobey him. The first example was shown by the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces, and this is a rather worrying signal.

The internal political crisis is deepening. Pashinyan's removal is demanded by all 4 presidents of Armenia, 2 out of 3 factions of the National Assembly, the church with its two clergymen, the majority of extra-parliamentary political forces, the National Academy of Sciences, a number of universities, numerous Diaspora and Armenian organizations, hundreds of thousands of our compatriots who have recently joined were the General Staff of the Armed Forces and 5 army corps. Pashinyan insists. There is an impression that resignation is a matter of life and death for him, but remaining in office is tantamount to destroying Armenia as a state. In any case, the person holding the post of Prime Minister has no choice but to leave. And he will leave, because the price of not leaving is the loss of our Homeland.
